Obituary

James F. Talley, affectionately called, “Wolf” was born to the lateCarrie Mae Rutledge Talley on September 23, 1954. On, February 2, 2021 James went home to be with the Lord.

James professed Christ at an early age and later became a member of, Day PentecostChurch, Almont, AL, where he remained until his death. He was a Fishermen who loved to fish. He finally caught the “Fish of his life” named, Sadie. And, on February 11, 2000, he “reeled” her in as his wife. Along with Sadie, he “snagged” her six children, and accepted them as his very own.

James was a provider for his family. He worked many odd jobs to make ends meet. He tried his hand at being a “Chicken Farmer” raising and selling chickens. It was said, “Wolf had the best chicken eggs one could buy.” He was a “Taxi Driver” and a “Delivery Driver/Mover for family and friends in the local communities. James also worked part-time at Chevron, in Almont, AL. It is there also, where he would meetupwith other men from the community and shoot the breeze and exchange the latest news. He then would go home and report the news he gathered, to his wife, “Fox6 News Sadie Talley.”

James was loved and respected by many because he became a “Better Man.”  A “Better” person is something we should all strive to be..
