Marie Pearson Green was born Monday, June 12, 1933 to the late Major and Georgia Pearson in Brierfield, Alabama.

She confessed Christ at an early age at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Brierfield, Alabama.  Later she united with Mountain Missionary Baptist Church in Calera, Alabama.

 She attended Bibb County Public Schools.

She united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. George Green on October 5, 1958. 

She was: strong, loving, caring- even for others’ children, she was well-known, respectful, soft-spoken and an all around loving person; she was “Our Queen”.

She was preceded in death by three children Geraldine Burns, Willie Earl Pearson and George Green, Jr.: Siblings, Jessie Grayson, Mattie Lacey, Alfred Pearson and Albert Pearson.

She departed this life on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at her home in Montevallo, Alabama.

She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted husband of sixty years, George Green; two sons, Douglas Green and Lee J. Melton, both of Montevallo, Alabama; four daughters, Dora (Leon) Clayton of Brierfield, AL, Yvonne Silas, Annette Green and Centhia Hicks all of Montevallo, AL; nineteen grandchildren, twenty nine great-grandchildren, four great- great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends who shall miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at Mountain Baptist Church in Calera, AL with burial at Ebenezer Cemetery in Brierfield, AL. Rev. Calvin Campbell - Pastor  ;  Rev. Fate Bryant – Officiating.
