Adam L. Dowdell , Jr was born on April 5, 1998 to Toya Cohill and the late Adam L. Dowdell, Sr. who preceded him in death. He had 2 grandfathers, James A. Cohill, Sr and Albert Kirkland who also preceded him in death. His education started in Calera Elementary and later transferred to Thompson High School his Sophomore year. He was recruited to Kingwood Christian School in 2015. He then transferred to Montevallo High School where he graduated in 2016. He received a Football scholarship to East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, Ms in 2016 -2017 and then transferred to Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL in 2018- 2020. At an early age he joined Spirit & Truth Ministries in Calera, AL. He also fellowshipped at Bethesda Apostolic in Montevallo, AL and Emmanuel Temple Holiness Church in Alabaster, AL. Adam leaves to cherish his memories: A Loving mother Toya Cohill (Henry Johnson), a brother: Jordan Cohill (Nikita Green) Alabaster, AL; a sister, Jerianah Cohill Alabaster, AL; Grandmothers, Rosie Cohill & Sallie Mae Dowdell both of Alabaster, AL; Aunts, Omiku (Jeffrey) Chism Birmingham, Al, Lisa Kirkland Tuscaloosa, AL, Patricia Booker "Nanny" Alabaster, AL; Uncles, James (Tara) Cohill, Jr Birmingham, AL, Paul Dowdell (Vanessa) Alabaster, AL, Opie Hundley, Sr. Alabaster, AL; niece, Ja'Liyah Baker; 2 nephews, JaQuarius Green & Keenan Green both of Alabaster, AL; and longtime friends, Jamarcus Green and Indiah Cohill and a host of family and friends

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept 26, 2020 at 12:00 Noon at Calera High School Football Field, Highway 25, Calera, AL with burial at Liberty Cemetery Alabaster, AL. Rev. Akeam A. Simmons Officiating.
