Adam Levelle Dowdell, Sr . was born to the parentage of Sallie Mae Dowdell and the late Albert Kirkland on May 30, 1972 in Shelby County, Alabama.

He accepted Christ at an early age.  He was educated in the Shelby County School System.  He later attended the Job Corp where he completed his education.

He enjoyed race cars - he was a car fanatic.  He was a BIG Auburn fan and a fan of the Atlanta Falcons. He was a heavy weight lifter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Kirkland.

He departed this life on January 16, 2020, at his home in Montevallo, Alabama.  He leaves to cherish his memories: his son, Adam Levelle, Jr. of Alabaster, AL, two step-children, Jordan Cohill and Jerianah Cohill of Alabaster, AL; mother, Sallie Mae Dowdell of Alabaster, AL; two sisters, Patricia Ann Dowdell and Lisa Kirkland both of Alabaster, AL; two brothers, Obie Hundley of Alabaster, AL, Paul (Vanessa) Dowdell of MS; four aunts, Rosa Lee Allen, Margie Kirkland, Linda Kirkland, Betty Jean Banks; Fiance' Joena Lourant of  Montevallo, AL.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sat. Jan. 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at The Good Shepherd Chapel with burial at Saginaw Cemetery in Saginaw,  AL .  Rev. Michael Vines – Eulogist
