On March 29, 1992 in Birmingham, AL, our Heavenly Father blessed the home of Albert Merido Mason Jr. and Sonya Dianne Mason with their third child, an adorable, bouncing baby boy …Albert Merido Mason III.  He was an extra special delight to his mother on his birthday because he only required 45 minutes of intense labor.  With loving diligence he was taught of the LORD and the truth of His Word.

Albert  graduated from Calera High School and continued his education at Jefferson State College.  He pursued training in commercial driving and obtained his Commercial Driver License, Class A.

Albert had many hobbies.  He loved to work on cars and hang out with his Daddy.  He enjoyed refurbishing furniture with his Mom and sister.  His mother's plan was to make him the best cook ever.  He was indeed an excellent cook, and was always willing to help her in the kitchen.  Basically if you showed him how to do something once, he could do it and would master it.  He enjoyed caring for his dogs, riding his dirt bike, and exercising.  He enjoyed vacationing with his family and spending quality time with his big brother, Alan, in Florida.

Albert's heart was big and full of love.  He had a wonderful Spirit.  He loved the Lord and was baptized in 2003 at the Birmingham First Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Albert had a season in his life when he took "the broad way" and struggled with cigarettes and marijuana use.  Praise God!  We are happy to share that by God's grace, Albert made the choice to let go of these things and embrace Christ's Word more fully.  God set him free.  Albert opened his heart and stood on God's Word in I John 1:9 which says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Albert, III leaves to mourn his passing his father and mother, Mr. & Mrs. Albert Mason, Jr. (Sonya) of Calera, AL; his sisters, Mrs. Natalie Horn (Robert) and Mrs. Kristan Greene (Jerald); his brothers, Mr. & Mrs. Alan Mason (Keaira) of Oakgrove, KY and Mr. & Mrs. Martele Clark (Kindra); his grandmother, Mrs. Christine Dickerson-Jackson (Bishop) and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Sunday April 30, 2017 at  Birmingham First Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3520 Lorna Road, in Hoover, AL at 1:00 p.m. with burial at Montevallo Cemetery.

There will be no public viewing.
