September 18, 1930 – December 25, 2020
Alpha Omega Patton (Madea) was born to the parentage of the late Garfield Marbley and Katie Lightsey Marbley on Friday September 18, 1930 in Aldrich, Alabama.
She accepted Christ at an early age and attended Epsebeth Baptist Church in Aldrich Alabama.
She met and married the late Charles Leslie Patton, Sr. and to this union five children were born. She later moved to New York in 1950. By 1964 she met and lived out the rest of her years with the late William L. Hoard.
She was a Spiritual Healer and she taught spiritual healing. She also participated in writing chapters 1 and 5, in the book The Company of Prophets. She was very family orientated and enjoyed spending time with her family and making sure everyone was alright.
She is preceded in death by her children, Charles Leslie Patton, Jr., Michael Lefcourt Patton and Ineta Omega Patton; siblings, James Davis, Leon Davis, Sr., Joan Maxine Slater, Doris Gaddis.
She departed this life on Friday, December 25, 2020 at 4:45am at her home in Montevallo, Alabama.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two children, Veronica Lee Patton, Montevallo, AL, Ricardo (Alberta- "Peaches") Patton, Bronx, NY. ; grandchildren, Tanya "T.R." (Steven)Patton-Jackson, Keisha Patton, Francesca D. McCarthy, Jason F. McCarthy, Kawani Patton; great-grandchildren, Lamark Plaskett, Kwame Patton, Lamel Plaskett, Kamiah Melvin; siblings, Vivian Louise Clardy, Dorothy Davis Johnson, Rudolph Davis and a host of other relatives and friends who shall miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at 2;00 P.M. on the grounds of The Good Shepherd Funeral Home with burial at Montevallo Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday, jan. 1 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Steve Jackson - Officiating
