Alyce Thrift Melton was born November 1, 1920 to the late Tom and Electra Allen Thrift. Alyce confessed Christ at an early age and joined Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church in Montevallo, AL. She was married to the late Melvin Melton on September 21, 1947. She departed this life on May 3, 2017. She leaves to cherish her memories her nieces; Barbara Thrift Fields and Patricia Barnes Walker of Montevallo, AL, Linda Alexander- Withers  (Melvin) of Detroit, MI and Vicky Thrift Plata of Brierfield, AL and a host of other relatives. Funeral service will be held Sat. May 13, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church in Montevallo with burial at Montevallo, Cemetery.
