Andrew Anthony Cathey's Obituary
Andrew Anthony Cathey was born on Tuesday April 28, 1964 at Shelby Medical Center to the late Lester Cathey, Sr. and Ruether Cathey.
Andrew was baptized at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Montevallo, Alabama. He was a graduate of Montevallo High School.
On Thursday, May 6, 2021 he was called to his heavenly home at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Mr. Lester Cathey, Jr. and Mrs. Ruether Cathey; grandparents, Mr. Samuel and Ola Cathey and Mr. Walter and Gussie Cottingham; one daughter, Andrea Nicole Trenholm; one niece, Alexis Lilly.
He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters, Chrishelle Cutts (his special caregiver), Cesilie Maddox both of Montevallo, AL and Monica Lilly of Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Sophia Gentry and Sybile Lilly; one brother, Lester Cathey, Jr. all of Montevallo, AL; four grandchildren, Deterrius Cutts, Markelle Hudson, Jaden Witterspoon and Londyn Jackson; a host of uncles, aunts and cousins; a special cousin, Thaddis Peoples and a special friend, Demetrius Gaithers.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd Funeral Home.
A celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 12:00 Noon on The Grounds of The Good Shepherd with interment at Montevallo Cemetery.
