“Fat” Harris

Sister Annie Joyce Brown Harris, affectionately known as "Fat" was born to the late William Brown Jr. and Nathan Lee Moore, on September 4, 1958 in Montevallo, AL. She attended the Shelby County School System. Annie later met and married Burpee Harris, who preceded her in death., to this union one child was born , Teresa Ann Harris. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kamala Renea Moore and great grand daughter, Raya Rodgers Annie was known for helping anyone who was in need that she came across. She didn't meet a stranger, regardless if it was at the laundromat, where she worked, or at Walmart, where she loved to shop. She loved working at Frank's Laundromat, where she met a lot of different people. Annie didn't mind lifting a helping hand and was a faithful member of Freewill Ministries, where she was an usher and served in the Ladies of Integrity Women's Group. She really loves her pastor, Rev. Larry Coleman, and First Lady Carolyn Coleman. She was a firm believer in God and a God-fearing woman she was. Annie leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Emma Moore (Edward Sawyers) of Shelby, AL, Teresa Harris of Alabaster, AL; two bonus daughters, I'Kesha Weatherspoon of Tacoma, Washington, Donna Green of Alabaster, AL; the love of her life who was there until the end, Dynell Ball of Alabaster, AL; her grandkids, Adrian Michelle Moore, Kadijah Samone Christian, Keterian Carter, Jason Pickett (Kimberly Pickett), Ashley Marie Harris, Ebony Jones, Joshua Snow, Zion Clark, Aidan Clark, Walter Witherspoon; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Gloria Jean Snow of McCalla, AL; two brothers, Willie Hicks Sr. Of Wilton, AL, William Brown of Montevallo, AL; two special cousins, Aretha Pashel Alexander of North Carolina, Timothy (Tim) Johnson of El Paso, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
