Annie John Reed Drake a lovely and cherish daughter was born to the union of the late John and Helen Reed on June 22, 1952. She was united in marriage to the late LC Drake and to this union one daughter was born.

Annie was raised in Shelby County and was educated in the Shelby County School System.

During her public working career she was employed as a CNC worker with the Shelby County School System. She retired after 28 years of service. She was the owner of her restaurant "Annie Place".

She departed this life on Saturday Feb. 18, 2017.

She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter Sherrita Renee Drake of Columbiana , AL. A very special friend Robert Davis; one sister Betty (Edward ) Underwood and a host of other relatives. Funeral service will be held Fri. Feb. 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church in Columbiana with burial at Columbiana City Cemetery.
