Annie Bell Rowell Simms was born to Mary L. Rowell Paschel on April 9, 1929. She went home to be with The Lord on January 7, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her loving son Ronald P. Simms.

Annie is survived by two sisters: Mary Sue Paschel and Madelyn Paschel, both  of Chattanooga, TN: Three brothers, Phillip M. (Vivian) Paschel of Huntsville, AL, Walter E. (Lela) Paschel and William A. Paschel, both of Montevallo, AL, and also a Sister in Law Mattie S. Paschel of Lorain OH.

Annie spent her early years in Titus and Shelby County, AL. She graduated from Columbiana Training High School. Later she moved to Detroit, MI, and then to Philadelphia, PA. Annie was loving, kind, and caring. She believed in hard work until her health began to decline and she could no longer work.

Annie recited and wrote poetry and she was a very good cook. She was the eldest of eleven children. Annie professed a profound love of God and neighbor. She will be missed by cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at The Good Shepherd Chapel with burial at Montevallo Cemetery. Apostle Calvin J. Meadows Officiating.
