Belinda Carol Jackson's Obituary

In Loving Memory of Belinda Carol "Carol" Jackson

Belinda Carol Jackson, affectionately known as "Carol," of Alabaster, Alabama, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at Brookwood Medical Center. She was 65 years old.

Born on July 12, 1960, in Georgiana, Alabama, to Alfonso Sr. and Annette Whittle-Pugh, Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a woman whose heart was always full of love, care, and compassion.

Carol graduated from Galesburg High School in 1978 and pursued her dream of helping others by becoming a nurse through Reid State Technical College. She dedicated her life to caring for patients with a gentle touch, a kind word, and a smile that could light up a room. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her career — she poured that same love into her family and everyone lucky enough to know her.

Carol is survived by her father and stepmother, Alfonso and Patricia Pugh; her beloved daughters, Donica Pugh and Amanda Jackson; her cherished grandsons, Kaileb ("KJ") Jackson and Karsyn Jackson; and her former husband, David Jackson, who remained a loving presence in her life and shared in the joys of raising their daughters. She is also survived by her brothers, Quintin Earl (Rhonda) Pugh, Alfonso (Shauna) Pugh Jr., and Lorenzo (Erin) Pugh; her sisters, Kecia Pugh, Doniah (Antwan) Brathold, Angela Moore, and Lynn Marie Ballinger; her devoted aunt, Evader Whittle; and a loving circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Annette Whittle-Pugh, and her brother, Gary Pugh.

Carol's life was a testament to love, kindness, and devotion. She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and cherished. She was always laughing, filling every room with joy, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her special furry granddaughter, Kaly, whose companionship brought her immense happiness. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering love for her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Good Shepherd Funeral Home in Montevallo, Alabama.
