Mr.Bennie Ray Young

was born on Friday November 14, 1947 in Bibb County Alabama, to the late Sailor Peoples and Annie Laura Young.  He accepted Christ in his life at an early age.  In the past couple of years he decided to rededicate his life back to Christ.  He was loyal and faithful attending his church, Freewill Apostle Holiness Church, until he made his transition on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Church.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Mrs. Florence P. Young; one son, Mr. Tommy (Serena) Driver of Brent, AL; one daughter, Mrs. Debra Cook of Pittsburg, PA; six grandchildren, six step children, step mother, Pastor Mary Peoples of Brierfield, AL, four  sisters, Ms. Linnie M. Young of Brierfield, AL, Elder Gloria (Leroy) Goode of Antioch, AL, Mrs. Mariam (Reginald) Mays of Hoover, AL, and Ms. LaJUne Postell of Montevallo, AL;  three step sisters, Mrs. Tammy Jones, Mrs. Lisa Jones and Mrs. Glenda Young; five brothers, Mr. Frank (Jackie) Peoples of Brierfield, AL, Pastor Roy (Estelle) Peoples of Montevallo, AL,  Rev. James (LaBrandy) Peoples of Birmingham, AL, Joe Postell and Wilbert Postell, Jr. both of Montevallo, AL;  one step brother, Mr. Robert Bryant; three special nieces, Mrs. Demetra (Michael) James, Mrs. Carolyn (Junior C) Cutts, Ms. Veronica Goode; devoted friends, Mr. Johnathon Griffin and the Tubbs family; one special great nephew, Mr. Javontae (Amiya) Goode; one special great niece, Ms. KeNore Goode; a host of nieces, nephews and  other relatives and many, many friends who shall miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Mar. 30, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Pleasant Sabine Baptist Church in Randolph with burial in the churchyard Cemetery. Rev. Michael James – Eulogist
