Life Reflections
Buelah Mae Ferguson Caffey was born January 7, 1928 to the late Jim and Alice Ferguson in Bibb County, AL. She passed peaceful into the arms of The Lord on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Brookwood Baptist Health in Alabaster, AL.
She confessed Christ at an early age with the Liberty Baptist Church and later joined Freewill Baptist Church for more than 50 years until she left to support her son Elder Charles Caffey, Sr. and New Life Outreach Ministry where she served as Mother of the Church until her death. She was very faithful and we will miss her dearly.
Beulah worked many years in private homes in Vestavia, AL and later in years she was employed at Briarcliff Nursing Home in Alabaster, AL for more than ten years until she retired. Beulah was a sharing and caring person. She has blessed her family and many others in the community.
She is preceded in death by her husband Willie Caffey, Sr., Two daughter, Willie (Eddie) Miller, Betty Jo Cooper. Five brothers: Theordore (Amanda) Tate, Van (Geneva) Ferguson, Walter (Ann) Ferguson, James (Icie) Ferguson and Jimmy (Dessie Ree) Ferguson. Three sisters: Cora (Joseph) Davis, Janice (James) Lawson and Carrie (Peter) Hardin. One Great Grandson Mario Alexander and his mother Marilyn Alexander.
She leaves to cherish her memories Four Generations: Three sons; Willie (Linda) Caffey, Jr., Elder Charles (Janice) Caffey, Sr. and Kenny Caffey all of Alabaster, AL. Grandchildrens: Mario Terrell Miller, Jerold (Bridgette ) Kirkland, Jaccolah (Haver) Carter, Charles R. Caffey, Jr., Aaron (Tiffanie) Caffey, Sr. Glenda (Kenneth) Murray, Delencia (Rodney )Johnson, Santoniel Shealey, Adrian Caffey, Tewuna (Encarlos) Smitherman, Yolanda Michelle Bivins, Anthony Caffey, Nicholas Caffey, Jamel Hall, Ashia Montgomery, Tamika (William) Hill. Thirty Eight Great Grandchildren; Six Great great Grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, Three special nephews; Billy Jim and Johnny Ferguson both of Harpersville, AL and Charles E. Hardin of Jonesboro, GA. Four special people of the family: Juliette Green, Mattie Hall, Veronica and Brenda Kirkland. A special niece, Nickie Cotton and nephew Joseph Ferguson both of Detroit MI; A special niece Jerry Dean Tate of Los Angeles, CA. Special friends: Mother Ida King, Mother Sally Trenholm , Mother Celestine Brown, Mother Jeanette Smitherman, Mother Helen Gaddis all of Alabaster, AL . A very special song that she loved: Look where The Lord Brought Me From.
Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, October 21 at 12;00 Noon at Freewill Baptist Church in Alabaster with burial following at Caffey Cemetery.
