Obituary
Beverly Bivins Rush was born to the late Myria Bivins & James Lee Gardner on July 11, 1966 in Alabaster, AL. She and her siblings were later adopted by Mary Pickett and the late Curtis Pickett. She graduated from Thompson High School in Alabaster. She continued her studies at Cerritos College and El Camino College in California. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Beverly gave her life to Christ at an early age.
Beverly was predeceased by her mother Myria Bivins; father James Lee Gardner; adopted father Curtis Pickett and brother Gregory Merchant.
Beverly will be forever remembered by her devoted husband of 24 years Lewey Rush, Sr. and their children, Antonio Peeples, Lewey Rush, Jr. and Kiarra Rush all of Bellflower, CA. A loving and caring father-in-law Dewey Rush, Jr. of California. Brothers: Antonio Bivins; Sebastian (Fabray) Bivins of Alabaster, AL; Mike (Linda) Merchant of Maplesville, AL; Ronnie Merchant of Montgomery, AL; Sisters: Yolanda (Christopher) Allen of Montgomery, AL; Mary Bivins, Sherritte Reeves, Yolanda Bivins, Lenora (Mack) Harris of Alabaster, AL;. Sister-in-law: Alice Emory of California. Special family & friend: Shevelle Brown & Leona Peeples. A host of beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at Emmanuel Temple Holiness Church in Alabaster with burial at Liberty Cemetery. Bishop Gerry Bivins – Officiating
