May 19, 1962 – April 7, 2017
Sister Bobbie Gayle Billingsley was born on May 19, 1962, to the late Vera Mae Conwell Tyner and Luther Smith, Jr., in Centreville, Alabama. She confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a member of Pleasant Sabine Missionary Baptist Church until the hourglass of time spilled on April 7, 2017. She was a secretary at the Church and the tax preparer, and she presided over the choir. She truly cared about her family and church family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Smith, and stepfather, Raymond Tyner. Bobbie's children and husband will always have memories of her imprinted on their hearts as they remember her as a loving and devoted mother and wife. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband: David Billingsley; four children: Christopher (Janet) Billingsley, of Brent, AL, Kimberly Billingsley, of Fort Campbell, KY, Claudia Billingsley and Kenya Billingsley, of Centreville, AL; seven sisters: Elizabeth (Kent) Bell, willie Ann (Ervin) Heard, Michelle Tyner, all of Centreville, AL Mary Jean (Terry) Bell, of Brent, AL, Sabrin (Tracy) Norris, of Northport, AL, LaVern (David) Rogers, of Detroit, MI, and Evonne (Walter) Barron, of Brent, AL; three sisters-in-law: Ethel Mae (James) Cleveland, of Cleveland, OH, Willie Mae (Jimmy) Sheppard, of Alabaster, AL and Margaret Bray, of Brent, AL: two brothers: Nathan Conwell and Leon Tyner; five brothers-in-law: Mose Billingsley, Sr., Allan Billingsley, John (Dorothy) Billingsley, of Centreville, AL, Mack Peoples, of Brent, AL, and Wesley Peoples, of Vincent, AL: Four grandchildren; Desirae Billingsley, Christopher Billingsley, Jr., Anthony Mckenzie, and Kaisen McKenzie; Five uncles; six aunts; and a host of nieces and nephews, and friends who shall miss her dearly. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Sabine Missionary Baptist Church in Centreville, AL, with burial at Pleasant Sabine Cemetery.
