Bobbie Nix born June 21, 1945, to AT. and Nellie B. Watkins in Plantersville, Alabama. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She confessed her life to Christ at a young age and became a member of Ward Chapel AME Church, where she served many roles. She married the love of her life, George Nix, in 1964.

From that union they had two children, Cedric Nix and Georgenna Nix Williams. She was employed at The University of Montevallo for 25 years, where she retired.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; siblings, Fannie Watkins, Emmett Watkins, Frank Watkins, James Watkins, Arthur Watkins, Roger Shack; and grandson, Cameron Nix.

She leaves behind: her husband, George; children, Georgenna and Cedric Nix; her sister, Wilhelmenia (Charles) Shamburger; five grandchildren, Valencia (Ben) Martin, Tavaris (Twila) Cottingham, Cedric (Melissa) Adams, Renisha Williams, and Cordarrius Nix; six great grandchildren, Cherish, Nevaeh, Eriael, Eryana, Tavon, and Chance, one great great granddaughter, Ja'Nyrii.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A woman who never met a stranger, who was always willing to help anyone. The door to the house was always open. You could always hear her saying "Come on in". She will truly be missed.
