Obituary

Breanna Scott was born on July 13, 1983 in Montevallo, AL.

She graduated from West End High School in Birmingham with the class of 2001.  Bre was a member of several organizations while attending school.

At an early age, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Abundant Life AFM Church of God where she remained a faithful member until her death.  She was a very dedicated and devoted member.  She served as the choir director, Sunday school teacher over the Primary class, and she was on the usher board.  In spite of her many health issues, she made sure she made it to church every Sunday.  Bre was the youngest member of the Heavenly Doves Quartet singing group.

Breanna quietly departed her life on June 10, 2018 at 4:49 pm at the St. Vincent East Hospital.  She was preceded in death by her loving father, Mr. Joe N. Johnson, Sr., her devoted mother, Mrs. Sharon D. Scott and her oldest brother, Mr. Joe N. Johnson, Jr.

Bre's beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Little Ms. Deziah and Master Nathan; a caring and devoted step-father, Elder Willie C. Scott, Sr.; step-mother, Mrs. Mattie Johnson; grandfather, Rev. A.L. (Elaine) Jones; four sisters, Melissa (Orlando) Cooper, Tynisha (Laron) Thomas, Tanya Johnson, Sophelia Moore; three brothers, Willie (Delphine) Scott, Nathaniel Hill, Mozelle (Taeesha) Lockett; twelve aunts and uncles, Lisa (William) Inabinette, Gail (William) Johnson, Gloria Johson, Bettie Johnson, Willie E. (Debra) Scott, Sr., Randolph (Loretta) Scott, James Brown, Gussie Wilson, Barbara (Curtis) Finley, Catherine Cannon, Amy Byant, Laura Chism.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, June 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Abundant Life AFM Church of God in Birmingham, AL. with burial at Zion Memorial Cemetery.
