Calvin Eugene Brazzell was one of five children born to Sarah Conwell Brazzell and Shorty George Brazzell.  He was born on May 12, 1942, in Randolph, Alabama (Bibb County).  He entered into eternal peace on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the Bibb County Medical Center Nursing Home in Centreville, Alabama.

He was a lifelong member of the Pleasant Sabine Baptist Church of Centreville, Alabama, where his family were lifelong members.  His father Shorty Brazzell was a deacon for over 50 years and Chair of the Deacon Board.

Calvin attended Faucett Junior High School, Brent, Alabama, founded by his Uncle, Professor David Earl Harris.  He attended and graduated from Bibb County Training School, Centreville, Alabama in May 1961.

Having a strong work ethic, Calvin honed his skills in Various jobs.  He was a hard worker and very dedicated to is craft.  He was a master at working with machines and soon became a certified machine operator.

Calvin's friendship radiated with love and laughter.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah, father, Shorty, and brother William Brazzell.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his loving sister Melza McElrath of Jaser, Alabama; two brothers, Frederick D. Randall (Margaret) and Vincent D. Randall (Stephanie) of Shorter, Alabama; one niece, Sarah Brazzell of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  He shared a special bond with his cousins, Wardell Harris of Centreville, AL, and Emma Brazzell-Brown of Auburn, Alabama.  Their friendship and presence meant the world to him, a host of cousins and friends.
