Mrs. Carolyn Odessa Peoples was born to the late, Mr. Walter T. Jones, Sr. and Mrs. Thelma Elois Jones, on December 23rd, 1946, in Almont, AL.

She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Calera until her health failed her. Carolyn was an active choir member, secretary of the Sunday School, head of the culinary staff and an usher.

She attended school in Shelby County and was a graduate of Prentice High School (Montevallo, AL) in 1965. Carolyn was employed at Almont Elementary School, Valley Mills of Columbiana, Oak Mountain Middle School and Walmart (Alabaster, AL).

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sisters, Annise Jones and Barbara Jones; special niece, Terra Jones; niece, Nikki; one nephew, Jason Tolbert; a host of other family members and friends.
