Daryl Dawayne Worthey was born to the parentage of Jerry Worthey and Shirley Worthey on Friday August 20, 1976 in Chilton County, Alabama.
He was educated in the Shelby County School System and graduated from Montevallo High School.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Melissa Mounticure on September 10, 1998, and to this union five children were born.
Daryl worked for 84 Lumber until he was disabled. He loved sports – he was an avid football fan. He loved fishing and enjoyed working on cars.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dallas Worthey and Clara Worthey and John Will Davis and Pauline Davis; an aunt, Nellie Boone; two uncles, William T. Worthey and Ed Worthey.
He leaves to cherish his memories: A loving and devoted Wife, Melissa Mounticure Worthey; five children, TaDarian Dewayne Mounticure of Clanton, AL, Darian Wayne Mounticure of Fort Campbell , KY, Daryl Worthey Jr. of Montevallo, AL, Dyran Lee Mounticure of Montevallo, AL, Lemetria Monic Mounticure of Calcis, AL, Malaysia Monic Mounticure of Calcis, AL; His parents, Jerry Worthey and Shirley Worthey of Montevallo, AL; two precious grandchildren, Andrik A'Morian Works and Nova Lynn Mounticure; father-in-law, Jimmy Lee Mounticure, Sr.; mother-in-law, Annie Jo Mounticure both of Calcis, AL; four special brothers, Donnell St. Charles, Byron Davis, Jimmy Mounticure and Jerald McKnight; two special sisters, Regina Johnson and Lorraine Mounticure; six aunts and uncles and a host of relatives and friends who shall miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 12:00 Noon at Mt. Cannan Baptist Church Cemetery in Vincent, AL. Viewing will be held Friday, Nov. 27 from 4:00 -6:00 P.m. at The Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Bishop Richard Ray -Officiating.
