Miss Debbie Lashun Richardson
daughter of the late Lewis Edward Richardson and Vermell Jones Richardson was born March 4, 1973 in Alabaster, AL
She attended public schools of Shelby County and was a graduate of Calera High School. She also attended Talladega College. Debbie was a member of Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church and a member of the Women's Missionary Society.
Before her health declined she worked many years at Shelby Medical Center and Shelby Ridge in Alabaster, AL.
Her pastime was taking care of her grandson, searching for treasures at yard sales and thrift stores, reading, watching her favorite TV shows, collecting dolphins and unicorns. Her smiling and bubbly personality touched many people and will be great missed.
She quietly made her transition from this life on Tuesday, July 31 at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama where she was surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her father Lewis Edward Richardson, and brother, Lawrence Stephen Jones.
Debbie was a devoted mom, grandmother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of those she loved and touched. She is survived by her Mother, Vermell Jones Richardson; three children, James Edward Richardson, Kayla Nichole Tyus, Justin Eugene Tyus all of Calera, AL; Three sisters, Wanda Snow of Dayton, OH, Alice (Rahim) Mateen of Stockton, CA, Cynthia (Shawn) McDaniel of Calera, AL; Three brothers, Mark (Cartrina) Jones of Birmingham, AL, Kenneth(Elizabeth) Richardson of Calera, AL and Willie E. Rogers of Springfield, OH; Sister-in-law Janice Jones of Birmingham, AL; three grandsons, Aiden Cole Tyus, Jamar Riggins, and James Richardson, Jr. and a host of nephews, nieces cousins, family and friends.
Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday August 11, 2018 at 11;00 A.M. at Grants Chapel A.M.E. Church in Calera.
