"OBITUARY"
Mr. Dennis Ray Gaiters was born on March 26, 1959 to Mary E. (Nelms) Gaiters in Alabaster, Alabama. He was baptized at a very young age at the Alabaster Church of Christ and remained faithful to the gospel until his death.
He attended Calera High School where he excelled in playing High School Football. After High School He went to work for Shelby Memorial Hospital as an Orderly for approximately seven years, from there he went to work for, Draco Lime Company in Saginaw, Alabama for approximately Six years and ending his career at Saint Vincent Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama as an Emergency Room Orderly, for approximately fifteen years.
He transitioned this life Friday, October 23, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Spiegner Sr., his stepfather Joseph Gaiters. Two Siblings; Albert Spiegner Jr., Sharon Goss and one grandson, Braxton O'Neal Gaiters.
He leaves to cherish his memories Yolanda (White) Gaiters. To this union three children were added: Dwight White of Birmingham, Alabama, Rosalyn (Samuel) King of Calera, Damien (Stephanie) Gaiters of Powder Springs, Georgia. Sometime later, Dennis meet and married Cindy Geeslin, and in this union one child was added: Trent (Robin) Gaiters of Bellingham, Washington. Five grandchildren: DeUndre King, Destinee King, Brandon Gaiters, Breonna Gaiters and Trent Gaiters Jr. His loving mother Mary Gaiters of Calera. Four sisters; Gloria Dorsey of Huntsville, Alabama, Bridgette Grace of San Antonio, Texas, Carolyn (Jerome) Adams of Gadsden, Alabama, and Holly Harris of Calera. Two brothers; Jerome Spiegner of Calera, and Rodney (Delencia) Johnson of Alabaster.
One very special friend, Ms. Rose Wamugunda of Kenya; one very special cousin, Ms. ShanequaNelms("Little mama") from Hoover, Alabama and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and many friends who shall miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday. October 31, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. on The Grounds of The Good Shepherd Funeral Home with burial at Galilee Cemetery in Saginaw. Bro. Chris Blackwell – Officiating .
