Destynee Neshia Christian Destynee was born on March 22, 2000, at Brookwood Shelby Baptist Hospital in Alabaster, Alabama. Destynee attended Head Start in Clanton, AL. Then relocated to Montevallo, AL and attended Montevallo Elementary, Calera Elementary, Montevallo Middle and Graduated from Montevallo High school. Throughout her school journey she was a cheerleader for Montevallo City League Football in the school choir, was an honor roll student, and played soccer at Montevallo Middle school. She also attended the University of Montevallo Upward Bound program that helped first generation students with tutoring, college, and earn scholarships where she was highly involved in community service and made amazing friends along the way. She loved school and was inspired and looking forward to attending college at Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama. Destynee Accepted Christ and was baptized at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She was involved in the Church by being on the Praise dance team, singing in the choir and doing community service with the church. Destynee was born with a blood disorder known as Sickle Cell Anemia SS. Even though she lived with Sickle Cell she became an advocate to tell people about the illness and how it affected her body physically. She was limited to a lot of things however she didn't allow it to stop her from being an active person. Destynee loved to Sing, Dance, Cook and write poetry. She was inspired to become an Author as well as Attend College to become a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Sickle Cell Anemia. She is Preceded in death by Her Brother Malik Christian, Grandmother Alma Archie, Uncle David Archie, and Aunt Porsha Inabinett, Great Grandmothers Fadie Bell Connell and Cora Mae Inabinett, and Grandfather William Bolden. Now she leaves to Cherish father Michael Christian in Briefield ,AL , Her loving, Devoted, and faithful Mom and Dad Rachel & Jonathan Burns in Almount, AL, A loving Brother Michael Christian in Birmingham, AL & 4 Sisters Jakhari Burns, Calera, AL, Jasmine, Jaslyn, and Alecia Christian Briefield, AL Grandparents: Michael (Barbara) Inabinett, Montevallo, AL, James Archie, Clanton, AL, Louvern(Douglas) Simon, Clanton, AL, Michelle Inabinett and Barbara Bolden of Montevallo. Also, Patricia Young of Montevallo AL, Ms. Pat has been there for Destynee since she was 5 years old. Desynee told everyone Mrs. Pat was like a grandmother to her. Ms. Pat was there for Destynee at her best times and at her worst times. Destynee always loved and cherished that special relationship. Thank you, Ms. Pat, for your unconditional love. We love you so much. And a Host of Uncles and Aunties, Cousins and Friends. Viewing will be held Friday, September 23, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Wilton with burial at Montevallo Cemetery.
