Obituary

Dorothy Edwards Brown

was born on June 20, 1955 to Mr. Jimmy Lee Edwards Sr. and the late Mother Para Lee Edwards.

She accepted Christ at an early age and started singing in the choir. Dorothy graduated from Thompson High School and was an all-around honor-roll student. She was known for her cheer-leading skills and her contagious smile. Dorothy aka "Top" was a precious soul and will be missed by many.

She was employed at Specification Rubber for several years. Dorothy was enjoying life and her life changed when she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 1996. It was then that her body begin to change, and she would prove that she was a Miracle on many occasions.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: One daughter of whom she loved:  LaKeisha (Reginald) Mann, One grandson: Reginald Mann Jr, Her Father: Jimmy Lee Edwards Sr.; Her Siblings: Stella (Hugh) Johnson, Jimmy Lee (Linda) Edwards Jr., Cora (Wilbert) Alexander, Mac Arthur (Dorothy) Edwards, Gregory (Gwen) Edwards, Rodney Glenn (Connie) Brown, Denise (Jeffery) Adams, and Ricky (Sharon) Powell. Also left to cherish loving memories are a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sat. Jan. 19, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Providence Baptist Church in Shelby, AL with  burial at galilee Cemetery in Saginaw. Pastor Reginald Mann – Officiating.
