Elder Richard W. Walker's Obituary

The Honorable Elder Richard W. Walker was born November 13, 1930.

He was an Anointed Holy Ghost filled Man of God.  He was a distinguished gentleman with a meek and humble spirit.

Elder Walker was a Great man.  As a young man he served in the United States Army from August 10, 1950 to August 10, 1953. He was Korean War Veteran.  He was awarded:

."AMBASSADOR FOR PEACE" Official Proclamation from Minister Patriots and Veterans Republic of Korea

. Certificate of Service FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY , US American Legion.

He retired from LTV Steel Mill in the Northern United States.

Later in his life, he met and married the late Mother Sarah Stewart Walker and moved to Alabama where he joined The Cross Ministry Church, under the leadership of Bishop Rodney Sheppard.  He later joined Present Truth Church.  He was a divorcee of Esther Chism.

At Present-Truth Church, Elder Walker found The Favor of God.  Apostle Meadows took the oversight of his overall well-being both naturally and spiritually, making sure that all his needs were met.

God gave him an extended Family: Deacon Johnny Heard and Deaconess Sharron Heard became his God Children. They loved him like a father.  He became a part of their family spending holidays with them and other special days, including his birthday.  Their children called him Granddaddy.

He made his triumphant entry into Glory on April 17, 2021 at his home in Centreville, Alabama.

He leaves to cherish his memories: His Pastors, Apostle Calvin J. Meadows and Pastor Beverly J. Meadows; godchildren, Deacon Johnny Heard and Deaconess Sharron Heard and the entire Present Truth Family and a cousin from his previous marriage to Mother Stewart, Betty Conwell,  and  his friends in the community who loved him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Present-Truth Church Centreville, AL.                 Apostle Calvin J. Meadows, Pastor/Officiating
