Ella Mae McCarter Peeples was born in Alabaster, Alabama on July 12, 1938.She was the oldest of 15 children born to her late parents Robert and Lizzie McCarter, she is preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Lizzie McCarter Sisters: Maggie Griffin, Billie Ruth Gregory, Rita Miledge Flora Ramsey; Brothers: Henry McCarter, Donald McCarter, Elder Sammy McCarter, Morris McCarter, Jimmy McCarter, and Danny McCarter Husband: Eugene Peeples; Sons: Bishop Kenny Peeples and Ronnie Peeples

A Time to Live Ella Mae was a woman who loved the Lord and loved helping people. She was baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the Holy Ghost at Emmanuel temple Holiness Church in Alabama, Al/. She was a faithful member of Grace and Truth Apostolic church in Bessemer, Al under the leadership of her brother Bishop Robert Mccarter. Ella Mae had a passion for helping people, she loved her family dearly, and was the "Rock" of the family. A Time to Love Ella Mae was united in holy matrimony to the late Eugene Peeples for 45yrs.To this union 9 children were born and two proceeded her in death, ; Sons: Bishop Kenny Peeples and Ronnie Peeples. A Time to Celebrate Celebrating Sis. Ella Mae's Life and Legacy are her loving children, Althea Seay, Tommy (Patricia), Peeples, Steve (Sandra)Peeples, Kathy (Jerry) Partee, Kerry (Shelley) Peeples, Dana (Danny) Thomas, Lecrecia (Thlemuca) Cunningham, and Ladonna McCarter whom she raised as her own. Two Daughters-n-Laws Donna Peeples and Thelma Peeples. Two Sisters; Betty Mae Culverson and Dorothy (Clint) Burns. Two Brothers Bishop Robert (Melanye) McCarter and Terry (Alecia) McCarter. One brother-n-law, Elder Lloyd Griffin; Two Sisters-n-Law Burtha McCarter and Linda Jones.12 Grand Kids,16great grandkids and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and, friends. Viewing will be held Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Emmanuel Temple Holiness Church in Alabaster with burial at Liberty Cemetery.
