November 28, 1933 – August 17, 2020
Sis Eloise Bryant was born November 28, 1933, to the late Mr. Jack and Mrs. Gertrude Bridges in Linden, Al. She was a native of Linden and attended Linden Academy School. Eloise moved to Birmingham, where she met and married the late Mr. Samuel L. Bryant Sr. To this union, six children were born. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. As a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist church Sis Bryant served as Vice President of the Mission and President of 'the Deacon Wives Ministry, she was a former choir member and a Sunday School teacher. She revised the Church History and served as 2nd Vice President of the New Life District Women Ministry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Samuel Lewis Bryant Sr., daughters Cynthia Nabors, Phyllis Slater, Grandson Raymond Norris, Brothers James Bridges, Willie Bridges, Lee Grant; Sisters Annie Mae Rembert, Nora Lee, Minnie Ball, Earnestine Harris, and Lucille Vickers. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: one son Samuel Bryant Jr, Calera, AL, three daughters Christine (Jimmy) Norris, Montevallo, AL, Valencia and Stephanie Bryant, Calera, AL, and one Godson Gary Ryan, Pelham, AL., and one bonus Daughter Annette (Ray) Speigner. Nineteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one Sister Ms. Dorothy Bridges, Jackson, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Aug. 21, 2020 at 12:30 P.M. at Alabamam National Cemetery in Montevallo. Rev. Richard Davis officiating
