Ernest Ricardo Martin (Ricky)

Ricky was born November 14, 1953, to the late Jennetta Carter Moman and the late Edward Martin, in Birmingham, Alabama.  He entered eternal rest on May 28, 2024.  His colorful spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  Left to cherish his memory is his life partner, Natalye Pond; a daughter, Amanda Sampson (Brichael), Atlanta, GA; a sister, Monica Moman-Saunders (Cedric), Louisville, KY; a niece and nephew; and an aunt, Rhonda Horn, Sugarland, TX.  Also left to cherish his memory, a very special cousin, Nickey Gaston, and a host of other cousins, family & friends.  He was an Airforce veteran and avid biker.  He was a past member, known as Scout, of the United Bikers Motor Club.

For many years, Ricky was an independent businessman having owned Marlo Mechanical.  He was a licensed HVAC specialist and received the honor of Top Minority Businessman for the city Birmingham, AL.

He was a man of many talents.  He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024, from noon to 2:00 pm at the Columbiana Community Center, at 194 Washington Street, in Columbiana, AL. 35051.
