Essie Pearl Oden Buckhannon was born December 4, 1956 to the late Amos Hall and the late Gussie Mae Gentry in Shelby County, Alabama.She worked for Shelby County School system for over 10 years.  She departed this life on January 17, 2017 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.  She was preceded in death by brother, Robert Oden and sister, Lelia Oden Buckhannon.  She leaves  to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted husband, Anthony Buckhannon; three daughters, Leshia Buckhannon (Don) Wilson of Pelham, Alabama, Melissa Buckhannon of Helena, Alabama, and Marilyn Buckhannon of Helena.and other relatives.
