Obituary

Mother Evelyn Marie Bivins Woodson

was born October 10, 1941 to the late Ollie Mae Woods and Luvell Bivins.

She was born again and filled with the Holy Ghost in 1995, and became a member of the Spirit and Truth Ministries Family in Calera, AL,  under the leadership of Pastor Mack Harris.  She served faithfully as an usher.

She loved her community, feeding and housing whomever was in need.  Mother was well-known throughout the church world for singing " What Is This" She faithfully attended church services even in declining health.  Our mother LOVED JESUS!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Woodson; one daughter, Tammy Jean Bivins, and one son Bobby Ray Bivins.

She departed this life on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in her home where she was surrounded by her loved ones.  .

She leaves to cherish her memories seven children, Annette (Ray) Speigner, Constance (Tommy) Haynes, Vanessa (Jerome) Taylor all of Alabaster, AL, Tommy (Tracey) Bivins of Anniston, AL, Jennifer Bivins of Montevallo, AL, Jeffrey Hall of Alabaster; and Wanda  Joyce (Karl) Thomas of Alabaster, AL; three special sons, Bobby Thomas, Kenny Kenney and Demetrius Kenney and a goddaughter , Her siblings, Mary Pickett, Andrew (Hattie) Bivins, Donald (Hazel) Bivins, Wynell Cottrell, Blondi Bivins all of Alabaster, AL; twenty grandchildren, thirty nine great grandchildren, one great-greatgrand child; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Parks who shall miss her dearly, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Emmanuel Temple Holiness Church in Alabaster with burial at Liberty Cemetery. Bishop William Fitts - Pastor; Pastor Mack Harris - Eulogist.
