Georgia Mae Swindle
age , 99, departed this life Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
Born November 21, 1920 to the late James and Rosie Dunigan, she was preceded in death by her parents: her husband, Pinkard Swindle; son, James Swindle; four sisters and brothers.
Mrs. Georgia Swindle, (MaDear) as she is called by all who knew her, loved God and read her Bible every morning before starting her day. Mrs. Swindle's favorite pass-time was planting and working in her garden early in the morning. She loved quilting, canning, picking her strawberries and baking her famous cakes to share with others- her strawberry and hummingbird cakes. She has always been a kind, caring, compassionate, loving and giving person. Her word of wisdom has always helped to develop the lives of her family in growth, maturity and independence in so many words. She was a precious jewel to all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: Sons, Glenn Sr., Lemuel (Elvira), George Sr. (Brenda), Jerome Sr. (Elizabeth), Lowell (Sharon), Dwight (Madeline); Daughter, Lora Wright; Brother, Philemon (Mary); Sister, Rosie Nell Frazier. She has twenty six grandchildren, thirty five great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces.
A Private Cemetery will be held Monday, April 6, 2020 at Campbell Cemetery in Maplesville, AL.
