Harryl Cottrell was born on October 18, 1962, to Hosea Cottrell Sr. and Wynell Cottrell. He confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Alabaster, Alabama.
He later joined Faith Temple Deliverance Center where he served as a deacon and a driver for the church van.
He was united in holy matrimony to Jacquelyn Harris on March 10, 1990, and to this union three daughters were born: Chaundraya, Alexandria, and Brittney.
He was known for his love for fishing and Auburn football.
He is preceded in death by his father, Hosea Cottrell Sr, and brother Hosea Cottrell Jr.
Harryl leaves to cherish and honor his memories: a loving, caring, and devoted wife, Jacquelyn Cottrell; Five daughters: Keona (Phillip) Green of Helena, Alabama. Halrisha (Kenneth) McCoy of McCalla,Alabama, Chaundraya (Brandon) Allen of Alabaster, Alabama, Alexandria Cottrell of Alabaster, Alabama and Brittney Cottrell of Alabaster, Alabama; a loving and devoted mother, Wynell Cottrell of Alabaster, Alabama; three loving sisters, Darlene Daniels of Calera, Alabama, Denise (Jeffrey) Adams of Alabaster, Alabama, and Angie D. Harris of Alabaster, Alabama; Five beloved grandchildren, Mazairo Speigner and Maziyah Green, both of Helena, Alabama, Parker Allen, Brandon Allen Jr., and Maddox Allen, all of Alabaster, Alabama; Father in law, Johnny Harris, Jr.(Sarah) of Alabaster, Alabama; one brother in law: Jeffrey Harris of Alabaster, Alabama and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
