Jacqueline Taylor-Christie's Obituary

Jacqueline Taylor-Christie was born May 16th, 1963, to her late mother, Vera Taylor.

The Lord called her home on May 17th, 2024.

Jacqueline was raised in Calera, AL, graduating from Calera High School & was a member of Grants Chapel AME. She attended Miles University before leaving to join the work force with GMAC, and retiring with 32 years of service. Jacqueline left Jacksonville, FL to be closer to her family in Mobile, AL. She joined Smith Memorial AME Church, where she served as Treasurer. She also worked as Bookkeeper for Troy Ephriam (The Previous Mayor of Mobile, AL).

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Taylor; her sister, Gwendolyn Snails; Cousin, Karen Taylor-Shanks; Aunts, Pauline Taylor-Mixon & Lillie Mae Adams.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Jessika T Christie (Jacksonville, FL), Jasmine P Christie (Mobile, AL); her sister, Wanda Sails (Calera, AL); her brother, Ricky Taylor (Calera, AL); cousins, Annette Weatherton, Yvette Juran, Angel Garcia, Edward (Tracey) Wilson, Kenneth Wilson (Calera, AL); brother-in-law, Oscar Snails; her loving pet, Kappa; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Viewing will be held Friday, May 31, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at The Good Sheperd.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Grants Chapel AME Church in Calera with Interment at First Baptist Cemetery.
