James Hines Elliott born January 5, 1943, in Alabaster, AL to the late James D. Elliott Sr. and Sallie L. Spight.

He served in the United States Army, also worked 28 years in Detroit Michigan as James the Barber.

James graduated from Northern High School in Detroit Mi on June 23, 1961.

He was preceded in death by Grandmother, Sallie A. Lock

Three siblings Virginia A. Cason, Linda Pennick, and

Gina Elliott.  Several Aunts and Uncles

Palmer Spight, Emmer (Andrew) Edwards, Leroy Elliott, Rachelle Elliott, Ada Alexander, Arthur Elliott, Naomi Ruth Miller, Sammy Elliott, Columbus Elliott, Margaret Redd and Horace Wesley Elliott.

James departed this life on Sunday October 17, 2021 at Brookwood Shelby Medical Center in Alabaster, AL.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Tracy Bebert of  Stuttgart Germany. Stepmother Mabel Elliott of New Haven, Michigan, His siblings; James D. Elliott Jr. of Syracuse NY, Robert Elliott of Syracuse NY, John Elliott of Syracuse NY and a stepsister Patricia Kincaid of Clinton Township, MI. One uncle George Spight of Detroit, MI, and one aunt Willie Mae Elliott of Alabama;  Special nieces, nephews and cousins  Marain V. Johnson (Vickey), Trevonte Phillips, Kenney Johnson, Rodney Johnson, Kimberly Johnson, Donna Cooper, George Edwards, Linda Peoples, Brenda Elliott and Special Friends - Josephine Leonard, Edward Bowman and Gary Stewart.

Viewing will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday October 23, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at The Good Shepherd Chapel with interment at Liberty cemetery in Alabaster, AL with Military Honors.
