was born in Montevallo, AL, to the late James Allen Conwell and Mary Frances Conwell on August 18, 1960.
Jerry Dewayne Conwell confessed Jesus as his Savior.
Jerry worked as a landscaper under Roger Bice, he also worked for McKenzie Tree Service, and Brown Molding
Jerry was known for his outgoing personality, warm smile, and love for life. He was truly a lady's man, a fly guy who always liked to dress sharp, and a talented dancer who could light up any room with his moves. Jerry was also well known for his sense of humor, quick wit, and unforgettable sayings. One of his favorite expressions was, "If I tell you a duck could pull a truck, get ready to hook up!" Those who knew him will always remember the laughter, wisdom, and joy he brought wherever he went. Jerry never met a stranger and had a way of making people laugh and feel welcome. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, and creating memories that will last forever.
Jerry was preceded in death by: his parents, James Allen Conwell & Mary Frances Conwell; brother, Bruce Allen Conwell; and sister, Lenora Jane Conwell Wilson.
On June 11, 2026, he went home to be with the Lord.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughters, Natasha Lynn Rutledge, Montevallo, AL, Alexis Shelton, Akron, OH; brothers; Arthur Conwell (Janet), Columbus, OH, Danny Conwell (Alma), Montevallo, AL; sisters, Erma Kirksey (Franklin), Helena, AL, Tammy Ryans (Kelvin), Montevallo, AL, Margie Heflin and Loree McDonald both of Akron, OH, Donna Haggard (David, Montevallo, AL; granddaughters, Amilyia Walker (Rahiem), Chemesia Farrington, Takhishilyn Farrington; great grands, Janovah, JaNylah, Chanel, and Zy'Eirre; a special friend, Lester Belvins; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
