Jesse Lewis Gaiters was born on August 22, 1943, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Mose Wesley & Donnie Bell Gaiters in Saginaw, AL. Born the fifth child, in which the filling preceded him in death: William Pickett Jr., Arnet Lee Pickett, Mose Wesley Gaiters Jr., Willie Earl Gaiters, Joseph Phillip Gaiters and Dorothy Nell Gaiters. He attended Prentice High School and he joined the Air Force on September 5, 1962. Jesse enjoyed being around family & attending reunions. He was always helping others & making people laugh. He leaves to cherish his memory; two sons, Marcus Thompson of London, England, Elkahara Mitchell of Lithonia, GA; several grandchildren; siblings, Earnestine Oden of Alabaster, AL; Cordelia Coleman of Eastvale, CA, Geradine Tyus of Huntsville, AL, Edward Gaiters of Maylene, AL, Kathy (Michael) Marcus of Montevallo, AL, Michael (Wilma) Gaiters of Calera, AL; sister in law, Teresa Gaiters; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
