Mr. Jimmy Lee Edwards Jr.'s Obituary

Jimmy Lee Edwards Jr. was born on March 13, 1949, in Keyston, AL, to Jimmy L. Edwards Sr. and Morher Para Lee Edwards. He was the second of six children.

He accepted Christ early at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Alabaster, AL. He graduated from Prentice High School in 1967. He married his childhood sweetheart, Linda A. Harris, in 1969, and to that union two sons were born.

Mr. Edwards was a loving husband, devoted father, a hard worker and an absolutely great provider for his family. He was cherished as an excellent granddad and great granddad.

He was a genuine Alabama football fan and known for games at the man cave also know as "The Lil House".

Later, he joined Spirit and Truth Ministry under Elder Mack Harris Jr. and was baptized in Jesus' name. He transitioned at St. Vincent Hospital on Friday, May 30th, 2025, at 12:18 A.M., surrounded by his wife and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Mother Para Lee Edwards; sister, Dorthy Brown and two brothers, Elder Mac Auther and Greg Edwards.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife, Evangelist Linda A. Edwards; two sons, Timothy Edwards {Connie), Morris Edwards Sr. (Tia); four grandchildren, three bonus grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one bonus great grandchild; two sisters, Stella Johnson (Hugh), Evangelist Cora Alexander; a bonus sister, Evangelist Denise Adams (Jeffery); four bonus brothers, Ricky Powell, Apostle Rodney Glenn Brown (Connie), O'Brien Huff and Davery Hall; three sisters in love, Diane Stewarts (Roderick), Shara Hill, Valerie Thompson (Bishop Elvin); four brothers in love, Elder Mack Harris (First Lady Lenora), Harry Harris, Darryll Harris and Corey Harris and a host of nephews and nieces.
