Jimmy Tibias Jones was born October 9, 1979 in Shelby County, Alabama to Avery Joyce Jones Taylor and Edward Earl Dubose.  He confessed Christ at an early age at Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church.  He graduated from Montevallo High School, where he played football and basketball.  He loved fishing, swimming, playing pranks, ruff-housing his cousins, and he loved all kids.

Jimmy made his transition on November 22, 2016.  One son, Colin Jones, preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother, Avery Joyce (Ricky) Taylor, and father, Edward Earl Dubose, all of Montevallo, AL.  He also leaves four children, Jalynn Jones, Jacob Jones, Jymiah Jones, all of Montevallo, AL, and Keiran Brown of Birmingham, AL; five sisters, Christie and Crystal Jones, Jerra Dubose, all of Montevallo, AL, Joi Dubose of Orlando, FL, and Lakeisha Dubose of Birmingham, AL; one brother, Kevin Dubose, of Houston, TX; a devoted grandmother, Olonia B. Jones of Montevallo, AL; three aunts, Susan (Robert) Chappell of Montgomery, AL, Laura Jones, of Montevallo, AL, and Shelia (Avery) Williams of Knoxville, TN; uncle, Henry Jones of Montevallo, AL; great-aunt, Laura (Herman) Peoples of Monteallo, AL; great-uncle, Willie B. Jones of Nashville, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
