With loving remembrance, we gather to celebrate the life of Mr. Jimmy Ray Wallace. Jimmy was born on August 7, 1954, and departed this life on May 25, 2026. Jimmy was known for his huge generous heart, his love for family and friends, and his passion for repairing cars. Jimmy loved giving, sharing, and helping others in any way he could. Whether through laughter, kindness, or generosity, he made people feel welcomed and loved. He was a natural comedian who loved telling jokes, making others laugh, and bringing joy into every room he entered.
Jimmy was educated in the public schools of Shelby County and carried throughout his life a kind and generous spirit that touched many. He was previously married to Ms. Dianne Hawkins Wallace.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Henton Wallace, and his mother, Mrs. Effie Mae Hartley Wallace.
Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory his children, Terry Wallace, Minister Kimberly (Cain) Mashego, Shantise Wallace, Shamel (Jameke) Young, Antonio (Monique) Young, Kelvin Wallace, Taneeka Young and Brandon Wallace; grandchildren Jasmine (Jeffrey II) Jenkins, Austin Wallace, Nthabiseng Mashego, Lebogang Mashego, Derick Gaddis, Caleb Perryman, Sipho Mashego, Shakireya Young, KaDarrius Young, Takarah Robinson, Kyisha Young, Tristen Young, Omar Young, Keshun Thomas, Malik Young, and Jariyah Young; great-grandchildren Jeffrey Jenkins, III and Jordan Jenkins; two uncles, Rev. Charles Wallace, and Johnny Hartley, and aunt, Barbara Miles; along with a host of loving cousins, relatives, and dear friends.
Flowers may be delivered to the Funeral Home Fri. May 29, 2026: 11:00am to 2:00pm
