Jones Bivins

was born to the parentage of the late Luvell Bivins and Ollie Mae Bivins on February 14, 1945 in Shelby County Alabama .

He was educated in the Shelby County School System.

He accepted Christ at an early age at Liberty Baptist Church in Alabaster, AL.  He was a working man.  He had a passion for cooking. He was a soul-food classic! He enjoyed cooking and didn't mind sharing with anyone. He was full of fun and always good for a laugh. He loved his family more than anything…

Jones was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Bivins; sisters; Myra Bivins and Helen Bivins and his brother, Bobby Bivins.

He departed this life on November 4, 2018 at the Ahava Nursing Home in  Alabaster, AL.

He leaves to cherish his memories his sons, Gary Benison-Bivins of Hoover, AL, Mike Demoss of Scottsdale AZ, and Deon Bivins of Pelham, AL; four sisters, Mary Pickett,  Wynell Cottrell, Evelyn Woodson, and Blondie Bivins; two brothers, Andrew Bivins, and Donald Bivins; Five grandchildren;  Benjamin Bivins,  Antionne Bivins, Devonte Bivins,  Amari Bivins, Jalen DeMoss, and  Ayla Bivins, one great-grandchild, Ariana Bivins and host of other relatives and friends who shall miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life  will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Alabaster with burial at Liberty Cemetery. Rev. Akeam Simmons -Pastor?Officiating.
