Obituary

Joseph Green, Sr. was born to the parentage of the late Abe and Louise Green on Thursday September 5, 1946 in Cahaba Valley, Alabama. He attended Frierson Chapel A.M.E. Church at an early age.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia and Consuela, one granddaughter Haleigh, and three brothers Abe, Robert and Billy and three sisters, Nellie, Erma Lee and Azalena.

He departed this life on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.

He leaves to cherish his memories; five children; Donald Coleman, Joseph Green, Jr. , Patrick Green (Sherry), Christopher Green, and Jonathan Green (Manuela); Three Brothers, John Henry Green (Cynthia) , Jimmy Green (Tonya) and Richard Green (Frances); and eight sisters, Beatrice Pollard (Walter), Stella Buie (Edmond),  Lillian Green (Cova) Mildred Woods (Jasper), Cathalene Webb ( Sherman), Shirley Elms, Bernice Pickett (Larry) and Jerrilean Green. He will always be loved by all of us consisting of a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.  Jimmy Green (Tonya)

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Divine Faith Church in Columbiana, AL with burial at Gilbert Cemetery in Hoover, AL.
