Joyce Caver was born on August 3, 1960, to the late Jewell Hawkins, Jr. and Eva Hawkins, in Siluria, AL. She moved to North Carolina in 1995.Joyce always put herself last and her children and grandchildren always came first in everything. She enjoyed teaching her children and grandchildren how to cook and sew.Joyce was preceded in death by: her father, Elder Jewel Hawkins, Jr.; brother, Mark A. Hawkins; paternal and maternal grandparents.She is survived by her mother; Eva Hawkins; her children, Stacy Marie Edward,Demetrius Daniel Orion, Octavian AlFernando Caver; grandchildren, Aakya Caver, Dorian Caver, Eric Harris, Gianna Epps, Casey Caver, Candice Caver, Daniel Caver Jr., Braxton Johnson; sisters: Alfreda Pope, Stephanie (Nelson) Wynn, Jewel Ann (Ricky) Inostroza, Cynthia (Bernard) Williams; aunts: Gwendolyn Salter, Juliette Montgomery, Betty Mitchell, Martha Jo Boothe, Daisy (Johnny) Thomas, Roslyn (James) Horn, Cathy (Lee) Burks; uncle: Lynly (Sarah) Penn; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
