Julia L. Coleman was born March 20, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Ruby Mae Brown. (Velma Johnson)

She received her education from Jefferson State Nursing School.

She became a registered nurse in 1970 and continued her nursing career in 1970 and continued her nursing career until retiring from nursing about 2008.

She united in marriage to Nathaniel Coleman and from this union gave birth to two children; Derek Coleman of Birmingham, Alabama and Adrienne Coleman of Charlotte, North Carolina.

She left Birmingham, Alabama in the 70's and relocated to Cincinnati OH with her family. She spent many years in Cincinnati continuing her nursing career at several Cincinnati hospitals. She eventually returned to Birmingham , AL and spent her last years st Diversicare of Riverchase.

She is survived by her son Derek Coleman (Tamisha) daughter Adrienne Coleman, two grandchildren Kedra Miller and D'Ereka Coleman, three sisters Loretta Johnson, CharleneGray (deceased) and Veronica Ross and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M.

at The Good Shepherd.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at                                                                                Highland Memorial Gardens 3115 18th Avenue  Bessemer, AL
