Kimberly Mae Rotenberry Linamen's Obituary

Kimberly Mae Rotenberry Linamen was born September 16, 1940, in Bibb County, Alabama. They lived in what was known as the "Big House" at Brierfield/Six Mile. Kim was very active at Bibb County High School and later became a nurse in Birmingham, where she met her children's father, Carroll Baird, in 1965. They married in 1966 and traveled the world, while Carroll served in the United States Air Force. They lived in Oklahoma, England, traveled in Europe, and finally made their home in California, before returning to Alabama, with their newly born daughter Kelly Ann Baird Coyle (Mike). Three years later, their son, Coleman Leon Baird was born.

Kim spent her life helping others, especially as a nurse, and anyone who needed her. She was a devoted mother to Kelly and Coleman, as well as a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Above all things, she loved her children. As a young woman, she owned an Austin Healey Spider; something very uncommon in rural Alabama. She made sure the children in her life were given important rides to school in that car and helped them feel very special. She had a beautiful smile and winning personality, which she used to lift others up and help them become all that they could be.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Mae Lovejoy Rotenberry and Howard Clifton Rotenberry, her husband, Wallace "Wally" Linaman, as well as her sister jimmie, and brothers, Joseph C. (Mac), Preston, Charles, and Glenn. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly, and her sisters, Mildred, Martha (Molly), and Benny, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
