Lauren Alexandra-
Michelle Green
December 21, 1999 – May 29, 2025
Lauren Alexandra-Michelle Green was born to Kimberly Durham and Christopher W. Green on December 21, 1999, in Alabaster, Alabama at Shelby Medical Center.
Lauren confessed Christ at an early age under the leadership of Suffragan Gerry Bivins and Bethesda Apostolic Worship Center. She played the drums and was an active youth in her church along with her brother Sam. Where you saw one you saw the other. Twins without the same birthday is the way they behaved. They shared a secret language that didn't require words and made you always wonder just what they are up to. Lauren had a heart of gold and was always willing to help where needed. She was a quiet soul that loved everyone around her. She helped her mom from a very young age attend to children in their home. She had a way with all of them and they loved her as if she were their mom.
Lauren graduated from Thompson High School in 2018 and later got engaged to Ladarius Cooper. They were affectionately referred to as "Goofy Goobers" by her mom because he met her energy level and brought her the same type of joy and laughter. Put them together and you could see an unspoken understanding that they shared and a love like no other. Lauren had a creative spirit. She had many God gifted talents. She loved to draw and she loved music including playing the drums, keyboard and guitar, all which were self taught skills. Her faith and her free spirit allowed her to go through life unbothered by things of this world. She brought joy and lit up the space around her, which was evident in the way she made her family laugh and it made the children she attended comfortable and happy daily.
Lauren gained her wings and left this earth on Thursday, May 29, 2025. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Willie James Green Sr. and Prince Ella Green, Earl J. Mixon and Alta H. Easley and her Auntie Wendy Harris Tolbert. Lauren leaves to cherish and honor her memory: her mother, Kimberly H. Durham (Timmy); her father, Christopher W. Green; siblings, William Samuel Green, Christopher Grondin, Kelli Adams and DaMiyah Jones; her Memommy, Angie D. Harris; nieces, Briella and Bella; nephew, Christopher III; a host of Aunts, Uncles and friends, that loved her dearly, and an even bigger group of cousins that will keep her memory alive. Shana, Kingsley, and Kamil(Baby) Haynes, she loved you like you were her own.
