Linnel "Tank" Ray

was born June 19, 1984 to Gordon Lee Ward and Beverly Cox.

Linnel Ray attended Montevallo High School and was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church in Columbiana, AL.

God called him home on May 25, 2020 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.

He is preceded in death by father: Gordon Lee Ward, grandfather Leon Anderson, grandmother Leona Hayes, grandfather JE Anderson & sister Tracey Evans, uncle Brian Keith Anderson & cousin Tyler Griffin.

Cherishing his memories: devoted wife Tabitha Ray, daughters: DaKari & Kassadi Ray, step-daughters: JaMyia Riggins & JaKalynn Johnson, step-son Jamarcus Riggins & 3 godsons: Tra'Vontie McCary, Tamardreon Purnell & Ka'Vari Miller, mom Beverly (Gregory) Cox, grandmother Mae Rachel Anderson, sister Delia Ray, 2 brothers: Gordon Ward Jr & Geoffrey Ward; 6 uncles, 8 aunties, 2 sister in laws, 2 brother in laws and a host of other cousins, relatives and special friends.

Viewing will be held Friday, May 29 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.  Social Distancing will be adhered to.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 30 at 2:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd Funeral Home Parking Lot.  Pastor Skylar Patterson  officiating.
