Louis Edward Lacey was born September 26, 1946, to the late Clifton Leon and Mable Woods Lacey in Boothton, Alabama.
He entered peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at his home.
He confessed his love for Jesus Christ at a young age and was baptized into the membership of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
He graduated Prentice High School class of 1964.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Paulette Worthey Lacey.
Louis was ordained as a deacon under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Rogers L. White where he served diligently until his health started to decline.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Mable Lacey, Sister, Marietta "Peggy", Brothers Clifton Jr., Arthur Burnice and wife Paulette W. Lacey.
His earthly memories will be forever treasured by, daughter Lois (Johnny) Allen, two sons Kelvin and Joseph Lacey. Five grandchildren, Kevin Lacey Jr., Shamaiah Lacey, Keevon Lacey, Kenia Lacey and Devin. Ten great grandchildren, Khaniya, Cameron, Keiston, Kharizma, Kamar, Zarriun, Kamarion, Karson, Kayvinn, Keevon Jr. and one great great granddaughter Kha'Mora. Sisters-in-law, Sarah Lacey, Katie Burnice, Maudean Gaddis, Hattie (Charles) Alexander, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing will be held Friday, May 31, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at The Good Shepherd.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Montevallo with burial at Montevallo Cemetery.
