Sister Mae Anderson was born on December 12, 1943 to the late James Otto Ray and Vivian Rone. Mae attended Prentice High School.

Mae attended Green Chapel Baptist Church.  Later, she became a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Mae married Leon Anderson on March 5, 1966 (46 years of marriage). She was a housekeeper for the late Frank and Martha Griffin of Alabaster, AL for many years.

Mae was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leon Anderson; son, Brian Keith Anderson; sister, Margaret Frances Price; grandsons, Tyler Griffin and Linnel Ray.

Mae peacefully accepted the calling God had for her and made her transition to be with the Lord on the morning of November 12 ^th , 2020.

Mae leaves to cherish her memories seven children: Havlyn (Timothy) Staffney, Beverly (Gregory) Cox, Meta (Bobby) Anderson, Rhonda Smith Sunday, Vanessa (Manuel) Anderson, Scottie (Parrish) Anderson, Mary (Walter) Craft. Her siblings: Milton (Evelyn) Jackson, Ester (Maurice) Cook, Deborah (Malone) Wallace, Gwendolynn Ann Smith, Terry Smith, Harold Burke (Patricia) Smith, Betty Jean Ray; Her 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday November 21, 2020 at 12:00 Noon on The Grounds of The Good Shepherd Funeral Home with burial at Liberty cemetery in Alabaster. Rev. Van C. Houser- Officiating.
