Mary Louise Weatherspoon was born October 3, 1960 to the late Ocie Lee Allen andGeorgia Merchant Allen in Alabaster, Al.
She confessed her life to the Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor R.W. Davis in Alabaster, Al.
Mary "Josie" was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Walter Lee Weatherspoon on …….., and to this union God blessed them with two daughters that they loved and adored. She also served un the Army branch of the United States Military as a Rifle M16 and Hand Grendade Marksman until her retirement in 1985.
Mary ins nor reunited with beloved family membersthat have preceded her in death: Parents Ocie and Georgia Allen. Mother of Love, Edith Mixon, and six brothers, Raymond Allen, James Merchant, Ralph Miller, Massey Lee Allen, Donnie Wayne Merchant and Jimmy Ray Merchant.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Keshonda Jones of Birmingham, AL and Ikeyeshia weatherspoon of Tacoma, WA; six sisters, Ernestine Mason of Birmingham, AL, Gloria (John) Gabrysiak of Douglasville, GA, Patricia Davis of Clanton, AL, Diane Swift, Linda Desmond, barbara Allen, and Emphress Allen all of Alabaster, AL; four brothers, Ocie Leon (Gloria) Merchant of Gulfport, MS, David Moore of Birmingham, AL, Herman ( Patricia) Robinson of Syracuse, NY and Benjamin ( Jessica) Allen of Calera, AL; three aunts, Mary Merchant, Alta Easley, and Mary Pickett all of Alabaster, AL; two sister-in-law's , Dorothy Merchant of Childersburg, AL and Cordia Paige of Fort Washington, MD. One God-Daughter, Camdian Mickie, four very special friends, Terry Bible, Edith Brown, Debra Scullock, and Wanda Faye McNeal , and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be held saturday, July 31, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Alabaster with Intermment on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Alabama National Cemetery in Alabaster.
